Fałszywe alarmy. Donald Tusk poinformował o aresztowaniu kolejnej osoby.

– The interrogations are ongoing, four people have been detained, and further arrests are likely,” Donald Tusk told TVN24, reporting on the investigation into false alarms concerning alleged fires or threats to life that were purportedly happening at the residences and properties of individuals associated with the right-wing.

The case concerns false alarms at, among others, the home of TV Republika’s editor-in-chief Tomasz Sakiewicz, the apartment of former head of the National Security Bureau Sławomir Cenckiewicz, properties belonging to Jarosław Kaczyński (all these locations are in Warsaw), and an apartment in Gdańsk belonging to Karol Nawrocki’s mother.

Donald Tusk: There are many fake notifications. In 2019, they concerned high school exams

„It is certainly too early to precisely define who was behind this, whether someone paid someone, or if it was just the idiotic fun of computer geeks… that is not my role. One thing is certain, and that is a much more important matter for me. (…) Today, I had a ceremony with firefighters, with police officers, with all those who fought the fire in the Puszcza Solska forest, and I told them: do not let yourselves be convinced that you should now cease interventions,” Tusk said.

„Such false notifications have always happened. I do not want to remind anyone how in 2019 all high school exams were cancelled… (in reality, exams were postponed due to false bomb threats, cases of postponing exams concerned individual schools) and the perpetrators have not been identified to this day. These are difficult matters. There are many such fake notifications. The task of the fire department will always be to intervene and save human lives, not to analyze whether someone reported correctly or not. The only matter that is truly outrageous here is the foolish reaction of PiS politicians and the president’s people, who attacked the fire department. What are they supposed to do? Call around, ask friends if it is really someone important’s apartment?” the Prime Minister asked.

„This is absurd. On behalf of the state, I also apologized to the firefighters for them sometimes being victims of foolish political witch hunts,” he added.

Who was previously detained in the case of false alarms in Warsaw and Gdańsk?

As we wrote in „Rzeczpospolita,” three people were previously detained in the case of false alarms – the first on May 20, the second on May 24, and the third detention was reportedly made on May 25.

Donald Tusk, Prime Minister

One of the detained men – according to „Rzeczpospolita” – was a „bomber” known to law enforcement, who was apprehended by the police in November. He is a 20-year-old who allegedly caused 380 false alarms last year, affecting over 1,500 locations, resulting in the evacuation of over 12,000 people. He alone was to face charges related to this year’s alarms. The first detained person faced charges related to „historical” events, unrelated to this year’s alarms, but his detention helped link the aforementioned „bomber” to the case of false alarms.

One of those detained in connection with recent false alarms had previously engaged in this activity, „Rzeczpospolita” has learned. He was part of a group of hackers…

PiS accuses the ruling party of ignoring the initial false alarms concerning TV Republika journalists, and that the services only accelerated their actions after a false alarm concerned the apartment belonging to the president’s mother. Therefore, PiS announced a motion of no confidence in the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński.
